Be prepared - asthma
18 Apr 2011

  • Do you play sport?
  • Do you have asthma?
  • Do you always carry your asthma medication with you?

A recent survey of kids playing sports in America discovered that most kids didn't have their 'puffers' with them.

  • Do you know your triggers?
  • Are you always prepared?

As the weather starts getting cooler and kids start to play the more energetic games of the winter season, two triggers, activity and cold, join up to attack more asthma sufferers. Add pollen from winter flowering plants and grasses and there is a bigger chance of asthma.

Check your medication if you don't often use it. Get mum or dad to buy more if it is close to its 'use-by' date. Always carry it with you wherever you go.

Asthma can be set off anytime and anywhere. Be prepared!
